The Black Feminist Geek Is Going On Hiatus!

Yep, you read that correctly, folks. I’m taking a break from calling out the BS in black culture, trying my best to contribute a little black girl positivity into the world, and basically being the biggest fangirl ever to re-evaluate and re-charge.

Creating and maintaining this blog has been hugely rewarding, and I hope that nerdy black feminists everywhere continue to be empowered and uplifted. I still want to contribute to that, most def, but I’m re-evaluating the medium in which I do it. If you really wanna know, I’m taking a break from blogging to put all of my creative energy into finishing my novel. I’m excited and scared. Yay for magical black girl fiction? (Also, y’all gone buy my book one day, right? Right??)

See you all in the fall! I’ll be back with a vengeance – and, finally, a stable posting schedule – and we can pick up where we left off, stronger and better than ever.

peace out
Are we still saying peace out? Have a good rest of the summer, loves!

UPDATE 11/3: Did I say fall? I meant 2018. Writers gotta write, y’all. Who else is going hard at NaNoWriMo this year? Let’s get these books written!

UPDATE 5/14: Uh, did I say 2018? Look, writing a book is hard! Possibly The Hardest Thing Ever. But I freakin’ love it. And you know what? I’m almost there! I’m so close I can taste it, and I feel more creatively fulfilled than ever. But don’t worry – as much as I love writing fiction, I can never stay away from blogging for too long. Keep an eye on this space for my return, peeps. I’ll be back to fangirl about Steven Universe and Black Panther before you know it.
